Eating Without Abandon

Living a Devoured Devotion for Life

Devoured Devotion

This Spot for Croissants > Gjusta

Aroma to Epiphany

The door swung open, the butter hit my lungs, and I knew this was one of those mornings. Before my first bite even shattered, Anthony Bourdain’s line flashed:

“Eating with abandon couldn’t be more of a turn‑on; it shows you’re comfortable with yourself.”

That single crunch distilled the life‑stance I fight for, on the table, in the mission I’m called to build, and yes, the life I want to build and share with my future wife (including sex because it’s a gift and sacred). To let passion expose mediocrity so that anything less than wholehearted living stays 18 inches away from my sights and fingertips.

What the Bite Said

Laminated layers spiraled from charred chestnut to honey‑gold. Butter carried the bass, cardamom riffed, caramelized sugar landed the cymbal crash. Crumbs flew and we laughed - - proof that pleasure, when taken seriously, feels a lot like prayer.

Big HEART type of Bakery

Petitgrain isn’t just good; it’s devoted. You taste the craft Clémence and her crew put into every swirl; you see it in flour sacks stacked by the window and in the framed neighborhood poem thanking them for existing.

Gratitude and Marching Orders

Shout‑out to my friends and chefs Joe and Lydia for inviting me here. You didn’t just feed me, you reminded me how I want to live.

This spot? Petitgrain Boulangerie in Santa Monica, CA, USA has BIG HEART energy. Take a bite, lick and eat out the crumbs off your fingertips, and stay heartFULL!

Keep going,
