DTP FSD WITH Daniel Keller

AI Slop, Crypto Culture & The Dead Internet_S02EP02

DTP FSD conversations WITH Daniel Keller: AI Slop, Crypto Culture & The Dead Internet_S02EP02

Today, we take Tesla Full Self-Driving out on a real drive to the Tesla Diner in LA with artist and technologist Daniel Keller (aka DNLKLR). Daniel recently went from a non-Tesla guy to a full Tesla convert after driving FSD, and in this conversation, we break down why. Along the ride, we explore Tesla culture, crypto, AI, botnets, meme coins, Solana NFTs, and the weird future we’re accelerating into.

We talk FSD’s strengths and weaknesses on real LA roads, Tesla Insurance and the dystopian Safety Score, and how Tesla’s end-to-end neural nets approach stacks up against companies like Waymo and the traditional auto industry that slept on software. From there, we zoom out to the “state of the internet,” the rise of bots, sentiment warfare, AI-generated sludge, and what it means to live in an algorithmic attention economy.

We also dive into crypto culture: the strange new world of Solana NFTs, blind-box mechanics, Pop Mart, Labubu, meme coins, and why Daniel believes the most interesting artistic and cultural experiments are happening in crypto rather than in the traditional gallery world. Daniel shares his idea of “alo optimism” and how becoming a parent reframed his view of the future.
